Drove through Gorse Hill about 7 pm. Half of Swindon's finest police were chasing about, dogs the lot. Anybody else see it or knows what was going down! Area around Majestic Wines seemed to be the hot spot!

There is a Gorse Hill in Leicester and Manchester....at least a dozen in England.
Although not in modern times due to house building and road building there would have once been a steep walk to the gorse on the hill....a walk from say old Drove Road to Gorse Hill would have been a fairly steep walk....while on local history Ferndale,s houses were built mainly by Welsh navvies and was named after Ferndale,a town in South Wales.
Incidently the welsh had a bad name for undercutting the prices of even the irish during these times and wernt particularly liked!

Basicly small hardy bushes...but once growing spreads rapidly.
