You're right, this is a ground included in the world cup bid and no undersoil heating.  Load of bollox.

Incidentally is it just me or are there more and more fixtures postponed these days because of car parks and crap like that rather than the actual pitch being unplayable?  It seems that way to me and it seems to be mainly because the clubs are now terrified of being sued.  Its that americanisation and compensation culture fucking up our fun!

No, it's 'elf and safety !!! Bolton fans were on SSN yesterday at the Emirates saying that if they could make it from Bolton, where it was a lot worse, then anyone could make it.

Def Health and safety. It's all daft, if people can't make it then that's unfortunate, but most local people can get to the matches. Seems daft that all the top clubs have undersoil heating etc, but matches are called off due to ice and snow outside! Never used to happen years ago.

Not really the point.  The point is that its shit that a new stadium should be built without undersoil heating if the have ambition to be used for high level footy.  And Winkleman is a club stealing enemy of football cunt.  But thats all been covered elsewhere.

I think the "surrounding conditions" stuff is more due to the coppers not wanting any more people on the roads when it's snowy/icey than some jobsworth with a clipboard. And while I'm as "Bah, humbug" as the next man about modern softies etc, I can kind of see their (the coppers) point - there's enough knobends smashing into each other on the roads when the weather's like this as it is
