Lucas wants Fulham atmosphere repeat

DAVID Lucas has called on Town’s supporters to bring the County Ground to life by recreating their Fulham atmosphere at every home game.

Judging by NW's comments the other day, the TE pricing issue will be sorted next season, which would help the atmosphere immenseley (sp)

someone at work also said to me Danny Murphy writes an article somewhere (paper, net, no idea) and he was saying some pretty positive things about our fans.

Its a relief to see someone from STFC calling it how it is, saying its an important boost, and not just saying the fans are brilliant every week.

Hopefully Town fans will step it up for the second half of the season.

Lucas got in a right strop at the fulham game cos a fan who threw the ball at him never reached him.

He is a stroppy bugger. I like him for it.

Apparently he set a few things down his first day at training at Swindon with the other players. Doubt many Swindon players would cross him.

The good thing about the Fulham game is how everyone backed the team. I think we fans need to start backing our players more, particularly the youngsters.

The harmony within the team is clearly very good and it's really hit home after the goodness of the last game what a bunch of whingebag cunts we've become (well in majority anyway). We're having a cracking season and yet we've been pretty shit fans this year.

We don't need loudnproud, cheaper town end tickets, just a bit of belief and energy. We've been getting closer to it with each game, hopefully it will continue. This could be the difference between a play-off place or missing out. Something went missing when Sturrock left and Malpas arrived. We had a decent atmosphere when Sturrock was in charge.

Next home game = Gillingham

Should be a good atmosphere, shouldn't it?

The acoustics at the CG are pretty good, when we do all make some noise in unison it can get pretty loud for the number of fans.

The CG would never be the same atmosphere as Fulham. Away games are generally a better atmosphere anyway.

That's the point he is making I think. Away from home we sing often/continuously. At home it's very sporadic.
