Cheers leefer, that's a good read.  He would always be in my favourite town XI.  The best crosser I've ever seen.

The strongest shot. He held or maybe still holds the guinness record for the strongest shot.

I was sat their watching Roy Castle do his stuff one day and one he came, our buzzer, and he broke the world record.

Wasn't it something like 82mph?

No - would have slightly spoiled the memories of how good he was first time round.  Never go back, in this case, holds true.

Was he injured that season?  I remember he came in on loan from Bradford having been one of their better players the season before and had the most assists (according to the FL site anyway).

The one game he played he did ok mind.

Just read somewhere that David Hirst hit a shot recorded at 114 mph  Eek and that Buzzers was 87 mph.

Nicky Summerbee was my favourite player back then. It was great that he came back for one game and it was great that we won said game - that was enough though.

From that interview:
The first two years at Swindon I came across somebody who put the fire in my belly. At first he told me to go away and improve because I wasn’t good enough. I actually considered packing it in then and then thinking that it wasn’t the game for me. But I worked hard and proved him wrong. I really enjoyed that.

Macari or Ardiles?

This (http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=7718) says Buzzer only started at Swindon in July 89, which is more or less when Macari left. So was it Ossie?

Was John Trollope coaching the kids at that time?
