JPM Cuthbert Douglas
JPM is having a hell of a season, Cuthbert look a bargain buy and will make us some cash when he goes up a level, Douglas I expected to be good and he is.
Paynter is playing very well, but did have a mid first half of the season dip so misses out. Austin hasn't been here long enough to be 'POTS so far'. Ferry has been good too but just misses out.

I agree with most of what has been written, JP is like a new signing, Cuthbert will turn out to be the steal of the year, Douglas is superb (thought he was just a bit off the pace yesterday at times) and to think there were threads on here slamming Paynter this time last year!! If we could sign Sheehan full time he will turn out another good 'un. However, if he keeps scoring goals there is no doubt the winner will be Charlie, not necessarily deserved, but try telling that to the CG faithful. Sadly we seem to have a history of player of the season winners moving on in the close season!!

talking of JPM, I was his biggest critic last year and would have been happy to see the back of him last summer but I have to take my hat off to him (and DW for bringing out the best in him) and deserves all the praise he has been getting and in recognition of this he is worthy of a song...
he's here, he's there he's every fookin where, JPM, JPM

Cuthbert for me followed by Douglas then Paynter. Lucas for me the most influential, good keeper and has made a few stunning saves. Amankwah the most improved..JPM showing at last what we all knew he had. I have to be honest and say i wasnt a Paynter fan and was happy when he was rested/dropped...Austin has helped him and Paynter is starting to bully defenders and still is young enough to improve greatly.

If Austin keeps playing the way he is, he will win it with a landslide. Maybe not fair on three or four other players but that's the way it is - a local lad from the depths of non-league who becomes an overnight goal scoring machine will always walk away with the awards.
Though to be fair to Austin, he's far from just a goal scorer and his all round play is pretty good.

JPM Cuthbert Douglas
Bloody hell as others have said you can't forget contributions from Paynter, Lucas or even Ferry either. That's 6 players that I would say would be in with a shout. If Austin was to maintain his form for the rest of the season then that would be 7. Crazy. Just goes to show what a season we are having.

Douglas for me-the single most significant reason for our improvement this season.Closely followed by Paynter then McGovern.I think Amankwah has improved this season an' all.

McGovern is being watched by at least 2 clubs in the league above.
He is one we should be offering a deal to right now. He could play in either division.
