This has probably been done before and if so, I apologise, just delete the thread.
From the people I know I would go for:
Bennett - striker (particularly for his toe punts)
Yeovil - striker. Obviously as he is skill.
Davis - LEFT midfield
Si - midfield. Looks a bit like Simon Ferry
VD - midfield player/manager
Gazza - right midfield, gets excited and runs around a lot
Spacey - laid back
Fred - centre back - shouts loads
Reg - centre back - would depress the opposition strikers who would promptly give up and leave the field
Samdy - right back behind the goal in the Merlin
Sonic - gk (yes I have seen him do it)

I'd be happy playing centre half, as long as I don't have to head the ball. The last time I did, I was seeing stars for minutes afterwards....felt like dead brain cells being rattled around like one of those glass snow storm paperweights  I'm a good talker though...a bit like when Gorman brought in Terry Fuckwit for that very quality v Newcastle 93. Tel is there yacking away like a 50's housewife over the garden fence on washing day, as waves of Barcodes stream past our midfield and defence, yet comically keep hitting wood. How Andrew Cole failed to score that day remains one of life's great mysteries. That cunt Lee Clark did, but he got his comeuppance last month with Uddersfield  |
