Nice to see Wilson suggesting he has already got his targets lined up - but didn't he say that last year and we didn't get anyone until deadline day ?

I think we'll make Sheehan's deal permanently. He is only 22 and from what I have read seems to have a promising future in front of him.

Not sure we're that desperate for a new striker. Paynter and Austin are playing well together, then we've got Revell and Ward as cover. Revell might not be the best but I rate him higher than what we had as cover last season.

I expect he'll bring in somebody.

Revell cannot stay, absolutely awful.

I'd like to see a winger who can act us a back-up striker. Allowing Sheehan to play left back whilst having a spare striker playing on the pitch.

Revell and Ward = both players that may not be with us in January. If they go back to Southend/Bolton all we have is Paynter,Austin and Peacock.

Still not desperate?

If they go back then obviously we need to replace them but if they don't then I'd be happy with what we've got.

Better than Sturrock last season and Peacock this season.

Isn't it strange how we've recruited strikers from the biggest club in Scotland, an English Premier League team and an experienced L1 Striker, and the best of them has been from deep into the non-leagues. What does that say about the Academy system and the desire amongst youngsters at top level clubs?

I have wondered if the rawness of the lower leagues (just stick it in the net Charlie) has helped him out more so than so arty farty academy would have done.
