Thank god for this thread, i had no idea it was a 1pm kick off! I kind of hope it's called off though, only because it's unlikely to have warmed up much by then.

The tubes and rail should be fine.

I think the best way to get there is either on the train to Charlton station (right outide the ground, served by Waterloo East, London Bridge and Liverpool Street) or on the Jubilee line to North Greenwich (a bit further away, but easy enough for pubs and the tube runs every 3-4 mins as opposed to every 15-20 mins for the train).

Great advice, except that there is a minimal train service running on National Rail (one every hour) and the Jubilee Line is closed.

Embarrassed I hadn't checked to see what services would be running or not.

That makes things a bit more awkward.  Presumably there's a bus replacement on the Jubilee line?  If not then the one train an hour is going to be fairly full I reckon!

Hmmm.  Not sure about that one, as it doesn't apear to be the easiest route and I'm liable to get very, very lost.

I think I'm going to aim for the train from Victoria to Charlton (10.15 or 11.15, takes 22 mins) as Victoria is a doddle to get to from where I'm going to be in the morning, straight down the district line.

There are several replacement bus services, haven't checked which parts of the line though. It's all on the tfl website anyway.

Got a couple of tickets yesterday, only sold about 500 tickets. Weather going to warm up on Saturday so no chance of it being off.

Going for pre-match drinks in the Rose of Denmark.

Where abouts is that pub Bob? I don't think we've decided on anywhere yet, so might join you there.

296 Woolwich Road right next to Charlton Station and 10 minutes from the ground seemingly. We are driving and hoping to park in this industrial estate place early so hopefully will be pub bound for 12. Meeting a couple of Luxembourgers coming to the game as I have their tickets so agreed to meet at the Rose.

Meeting at 12? Doesn't leave much pub time.

Good point. My old man is driving so won't be able to drink much anyway and driving from Wantage so don't want to have to get up too early personally!! What time are you all going to be arriving?

We're leaving Swindon at 8.30. Going by the amount of tiny bladders, I'm expecting a minimum of 4 piss stops.

We should be there before kick-off.

It's alright, my missus and STFC Dave aren't coming this time.
