they said something about the home breeding dogs on the news and it being reported to the police(they ignored it).

a dog is a dog.some are just more capable of causing more damage.
staffies are well down the list of dogs who attack people.they dont even feature anywhere near the top.it's all blown out of proportion with the breed,and chav cunts dont train them and have them as a status symble.
i have a staffie.my friends have them, and have in the past.
they are fantastic, loyal, loving dogs.
my dog has been attacked by numerous dogs in the year i've had him.none have been staffies.

i would like to see strict new guidlines and rules on breeding and ownership of dogs.you could rid the nation of scummy owners and breeders that way.

I never said that dogs see people as dogs ! I said they see people in dog terms ! ie. Who is going to be pack leader. Generally the owner is, but when left with a child some dogs can try to assert them selves to be top dog.

BTW it's reported that the dog in question was a "pit bull" type.  One of the problems is working out it's breed (as its a cross/ mongrel ) in terms of the dangerous dogs act.

I've seen some people be incredibly rough with their dogs. Most of them don't learn that you can only be ruff (Hah!) with your family.
It's sad when you see something happen with a dog that wasn't taught better.
