I think the coldest I've ever been at a football game was standing on an open terrace at Fulham covered in snow with a gale blowing in off the Thames - that was early January and possibly 0-0 - we didn't score anyway - early/mid-80s. Was that Cup or league? [/quote I was there for that game, my dad gave me his jacket as I was turning blue, not good for a 5 yr old to be blue. Last thing I ever got from the cunt tho

This is a great draw, I only live a mile from the ground and I love Craven Cottage. Shame they have the worst support in London.
I'm there this Thursday for the Europa game, I'll report back with beer and refreshments situation.

I think that if Pox get through it is absolutely vital that we take more to Fulham than they take up to Sunderland.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise, the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

Poor old Oldham Athletic will have to travel down on a Tuesday night now too. It's nice getting to the 3rd Round just so we don't get a Saturday without football!

[gets excuses in early]We are going to have two London away games in a week, though. I am wondering whether that will reduce the following we take to Charlton or Fulham.[/gets excuses in early]

If we were playing Leyton Orient and Barnet I might agree, but I'm hoping that the novelty factor of each of these ties will still draw plenty of people along. Charlton is on Boxing Day, where nobody has anything better to do (unless they love their in-laws), plus its a ground we haven't visited for a while, and possibly one we won't go to again in the near future. As for Fulham, it's an easy day out for a 3rd round tie against a Premiership club, with a reasonable prospect of an upset given that they will probably put out a weakened side (just look at the fixtures they have after they play us!)

A potential trip to Sunderland will be a welcome and quite radical change of pace for the Non-Leaguers... If they feel doing well in Non-League and travelling up with a lot of fans to the North East makes them more superior, then good on them (statement accompanied with a slow clap).

Good draw, nice and easy to get to from where I live. Will be going up on the train (Paddington). If it is a Saturday kick-off at 3pm, what time will the majority be arriving at paddington and onto to which pub to drink.

I can see the sense. In fact at Carlisle we were debating whether to let the game ruin a good days drinking!

My old Head office was right by Putney bridge..
I liked the Temperence Pub near the church where some of the Omen film was shot..
