I was 11 and to be honest only remember bits and pieces about the game! I remember the Leicester game but had to run home from school and listen to Extra time on Radio 5 with a crappy reception!
I drove to the Sunderland game parked in some hotel car park next to loads of Sunderland coaches . Alan Mac 1-0. If my memory serves me well he scored in front of the Sunderland fans. I was behind the goal near the front, not the best of views TBH. Got a coach to the Leicester game

Just got back, and we played a lot better than Saturday. We controlled most of the game, and they only had two efforts of any note. The back four was solid and didn't give much away. I thought Douglas and Easton played very well together, and I would'nt mind seeing that midfield partnership in a league game. Paynter worked his arse off, and when Austin came on he showed more in 25 minutes than Hutchinson has done since he's been here, but their back four won a lot in the air all game.
The lineman on the Arkells side had a shocker, hardly getting a decision right all game, and you know that Cureton would not miss, even though he didn't have a particularly good night and celebrated like he'd won the Cup, the tosser.
So that's 2 cup competitions now knocked out on penalties.

Went tonight...very,very dissapointing for me,Cuthbert and Greer apart it was pants...passionless and full of players playing out of position....Douglas was sound but spent the whole match back peddling to pick the ball up....Paynter,Revell and Hutchinson were poor though to be fair Hutchinson was played in midfield! Easton was rubbish...JPM was too deep..i for one is getting pissed off with these home performances. Oh and Smith for the penalties just stood like a lemon and watched..no gamesmanship no real attempt to pt abit of pressure on the takers. Believe me ime one of Swindons biggest fans but that was shit tonight for me...playing a game that would have looked negative away from home. Austin should start next match, took his pen well and did more in 20 mins than Paynter Revel and Hutch...he looks very promising. Very cheezed off.

I enjoyed the shootout to be honest. I think it was mainly down to the fact that I wasn't really too fussed either way. Shame we lost but oh well.
We played better than Saturday. Thought we deserved to win the game if i'm being honest. We were a lot better in midfield. Easton looked quite good and it was great to see Douglas back. Would like to see Easton in for Timlin. We passed it well but there were some dire hoofs mixed in as well. We seemed to plod along like we did against them at Carrow Road and didn't really create anything clear cut at all. Last 10 minutes was really good to see. We picked up and started looking like we really wanted to win the game. Better quality from Manks, JFL and Macca may well have seen some end product. All the players were decent enough although Greer and Hutchinson had poor games. Cuthbert was immense again and Austin looked very good when he came on. His touch is superb for a player who was playing at such a low level before he signed for us.

Agree with 69, thought we did ok until the final third, total lack of fire power and finesse in front of goal. No guile or craft in that particular area. Bill P put in an exceptional shift, Hutchinson was - well - crap. Charlie looked quite bright when he came on, wasn't frightened to have a go, even if it was 30 yards out. Not a bad tenners worth, just a disappointing result.

I think Leefer is being a bit harsh myself.
First half was fairly even, a bit ploddy but not many chances. A low whipped cross by JPM should have been scored by Paynter.
Second half we were the better team but didn't really turn the screw until the last 15 upping the pace and pinning Norwhich back. Still didn't create any clearcut chances but put in numerous crosses.
Personally I thought JPM had a good game.Lots of good crosses and a decent work rate.
Good turn out for Norwhich too.

Look...i said our defence played well...Smith didnt have a shot to save, but thats probably down to the fact that our midfield in Douglas and Easton were playing like defenders too...the rest was pants....JPM did ok but again he was too deep.

Neither team was ever going to score. Was still a fairly entertaining game. i can't help but think that if Charlie Austin got a run in the team he may come good!

Hmm, personally I got home a lot happier after losing tonight than I did from the win on Saturday. Pretty entertaining game and thought it was a much better performance all round, especially second half. It wasn't a game I expected to win or a competition I'm particularly bothered about, so I was just pleased with what seemed to me a much more coherent performance. And Austen gave me some hope for the future - he looked pretty lively when he came on.

I thought it was an ok game to be honest,I've been to a lot worse Simod autoglass and whatever name it's been in the past.I dont think these games are ever likley to be fantastic unless we draw the pox.Im not sure if it's me but it had that friendly type feel to it although both teams wanted to win it i did't see any crunching full blooded tackles except for when douglas looked like he was going to be injured.
It was something to do on a tuesday night, although it's a shame we did't win, it wasn't crucial and that's how i feel the players viewed it.
Surely austin deserves a start in the next game.

Whereas DW said he wanted to win the game, i'm not so sure or alternatively some of our players didn't give a fuck. As Russ says there was no tackling, no great desire to beat Norwich reserves. In the last 15 we just weren't committing men forward and were always outnumbered. It very much had the feel of a friendly rather than a must win game to bring in revenue. On the positive side, Austin had some very good touches and looked lively. From that 20 minute cameo he's ahead of all the loan strikers for me.

Anyone else think that Revell should go back to Southend. He had one cracking game but since has looked pretty shite.

I thought it was a good game. Agree with most of the comments, Austin looked good and Hutchinson was utter rubbish. Austin deserves a chance, nothing to lose. Another thing was that I thought Lescinel had his best game in a Town shirt tonight. Got forward more and looked more composed.
