I'm far from doubting Wilson. At least he has got us playing as a solid unit and has assembled a decnet enough side. We'll be mid-table this season and there's nothing wrong with that. After all we're in the middle of a 5 year plan for promotion to the Championship so what's the rush? DW's subs and tactics etc are a little baffling at times but all managers do it. I used to get really annoyed with Sturrock as he never seemed to use any subs early enough etc.

Agree that some of Wilsons subs have been strange but generally I think he's done an OK job. Most people say they're happy with progress and I think that's pretty clear. It's a damn shame we didn't get more out of that 11 game unbeaten run, I think we deserved a bit more than we got. Beauty of football I guess. There's still a hell of a lot of time to go in the season though.

I think the standard of league 1 is better this season. We were so bad last year I don't know how we stayed up.

we stayed up because we werent as bad as 9 other teams.

unlike most I dont think our team was that bad last season, much stronger upfront (obviously) but not at the back.

this season we seem consistently solid at the back, decent in midfield and lacking the final ball going forward.

last season we had games where we were wank but other games where we looked very good. I mentioned the 2-2 home draw with Leicester last season. I thought we were fantasic that night, never deserved to be 2-0 down in the first place.

I havent seen this seasons team put in a performance that strong this season (I've missed Brentford) but on the flip side I havent seen this seasons team put in a performance as crap as Brighton, Wallsall, Yeovil, Yeovil, Cheltenham (away) (I've missed Gillingham)

Cox did drag us up a bit under Malpas. As did Barry Corr when he played.

To be fair, without Douglas we arent much better now than the Malpas days.

We're too balanced I think. We need to take more risks, especially at home because when we do we look very good.

Yes Dave, last season we didn't go down because there were worse teams, which is why I was amazed because we were league 2 standard.

Disagree completely. We can actually pass to each other under Wilson and are a hell of a lot better defensively.

the decent keeper helps, we looked much better when Phil Smith came back in towards the end of last season. dont think he gets enough credit for our final push to safety.

I like Smith...but Malpass keep swapping the keepers was amazing...we know Lucas is number 1.....so does both the keepers...DW has shown(Paynter) that if you dont stay playing like a number 1....your out.

A bit strange that Wilson showed more patience with Hurchinson though, no?
