Pah, I'd rather start Charlie Austin than Cox.

But Cox played in midfield in Readings Reserves before he joined us?

Any club that plays Cox in a position other than a striker has about as much tactical nous as Maurice Malpas.

I woud be great if Coxy came back to us even if it was on a short loan deal because he would bring such a lift the current team including Billy Paynter.  Of course if you read the comments page on the Adver forum the players all hated him.

I can't see it happening somehow, you would imagine that for the moment Cox will be wanting to fight for his place, if he comes back here he has nothing to prove as he has done it, if he goes on loan to a L1 club then yes it may be us, but I would imagine that Cox would prefer going on loan to a championship team to prove to WBA and himself that he can cut it at that level.

And that assumes that we can afford what WBA pay him

If we are asked to pay his wages then there is 0 chance of him coming back.

Otherwise, we should move heaven and earth to make it happen.

I was responding to Ardiles, not Fitton. I don't think Fitton's suggested anything of the sort.

Yes, you're right.  Having re-read my post, I'm not too sure what my point was either.

I fear that Simon Cox will be the next Sam Parkin, as everyone wants to resign him because he did so well here. Lets move on, he has.

We all know he has the ability to 'do it' in the championship, so he'd never step back down.

It would be great for us if it happened, but like others have said i think that if he was going to go on loan somewhere then it would be in the championship, but still we should do anything in our power to make it happen

Completely different, Cox hasn't had 9 million injuries since leaving us.

Did he not have one that made him miss most of pre-season at West Brom?

Cox is the difference between play-offs and no play-offs, simple as that.  I would land a huge shot of my man juice on Fitton face from France if he got him in on loan.
