Did anybody else watch Panorama last night. We all know Bristolians are scum, but are they racist too ?

No they're not, it's the fucking scum that in live in those sink estates at tax payers expense. In an ideal world they would be exterminated at birth or before along with their parents.

There's obviously a problem with immigration in this country but we have a far greater problem with these fucking morons draining the public purse, breeding like rabbits and infesting our streets with their filth.

I used to live near where they were filming, in fact a pub they showed where someone was assaulted was at the end of my street.  I think on the whole people are generally decent, yet those underclass pricks they showed can make it a pretty horrible place to live if you are unlucky, and it should be said that they are the same people causing problems for the white residents.

The same things - if not worse - would have happened if they'd filmed in Knowle West or Hartcliffe, for example, and also on alot of other similar estates around the country.

There's chavvy scum everywhere, not just on big estates. The village I live in is considered reasonably affluent yet we have a gang of scumbags that cause trouble for others, most notably the elderly and shopkeepers.

It's a bit hackneyed, but I do blame the parents of these little twats.

Problem being off course is that the poarents were bought up in the same way. Harry Enfield is pretty acurate in his portrayal of Wayne & Waynetta.  Lack of proper discipline encouraged by wooly headed liberals.
Put those kids in the 60's when a copper would give them a smack round the head without fear, or 6 of the best from the head teacher. Most of those scum would burst into tears at the thought of it.

I don't disagree, but most of the twats we get around my way are from middle class families. The parents like to give them 'the freedom to express themselves and make their own decisions' it doesn't matter that it's at the expense of everyone else.

It's not a class thing imo, it's a discipline thing and by that I don't mean bringing back the birch, or caning in schools.

I agree it's not a class thing. The scum on last nights programme didn't appear to be working class any way. Maybe it's a working class area, but they didn't look like they knew the meaning of the word work.
I also don't think its anything to do with drink. I can get well bladdered, but still have some basic respect for other people. I think when someone has been drinking they may be more likely to express their views more, but those views are the same whether pissed or sober.

At the end of the day (i love saying that), it's nothing more than tabloid telly; propaganda. You could go to almost anywhere in the country and edit a film to make it look: racist/sexist/fatist/elitist. I have no doubt you could even go back to these estates and make a film about how multi-culturally accommodating it is and how everyone gets along like a house on fire.

It's just bullshit media. Someone somewhere has an axe to grind and we all know television is made to be watchable first and factually fair second.
