When I quit smoking I put on a couple of stone. I think it happens to everyone who quits - my problem was replacing fags with cheese. A 15 a day cheese habbit will affect your waisline. Since then I've gone up and down quite a bit - a few months of running and salad followed by a few months of beer and curry. I like it this way, it makes life more interesting.

You could melt down a variety of cheeses to a rubbery state, roll them in to a cylindrical shape and pop in the fridge. Once its hardened you would have a cheese rolly.

I'm not sure I understand - the quitting of smoking and weight gain are not exactly limited to blokes, are they? Some women, I've heard, get a bit worried about their weight. Who knew?

i piled on the pounds after quitting smoking.it didn't help that i quit playing football too around the same time. i'm pretty tall so carry it well so i'm regularly told, but i am overweight for sure by a stone or 2. i'm also in the slaphead gang which has never bothered me in the slightest

Ive never smoked...but cant understand the weight thing...is it because you are eating more instead of smoking.....or you dont eat enough when you smoke....serious question?

You essentially end up replacing some fags with food just to try and ignore the craving. Smoking also suppresses your appetite so you eat less when smoking.

i think it's to do with habit and also the fact that after a while you can taste food properly
