Undoubtedly, otherwise they would have one week, with the winner being who gets the most votes. Also, that's the reason why the results programme has been delayed until the day later, so people can have more time to vote.

It is all about money, but surely they don't need two goons on there to make that money do they? If they do, then the show has a short future.
Jedward have had their time, so lets move on. It's a singing contest, and watching Leona Lewis last night proved it does work. Not my cup of tea, but she's talented and has sold millions worldwide. Would Jedward? They'd be a laughing stock if they released anything. Would Lucy? Maybe, she looks like a star and she has a great voice IMO.
fuck the twins off and let them do eurovision, enough's enough. Farce.
Like I say, that's it for me. Back to socialising on a saturday!

If they are pulling in ratings and votes then they are doing a good job, regardless of talent or lack there of. Jedward have had their time, so lets move on. I reckon anyone could sell worldwide with the X-Factor media bandwagon behind them.

No, but he is making sure he gets the most £££ coming in. Think of the column inches and publicity this is bringing to a tired old show. Think of the extra phone votes by the outraged to get them off, and for those who think it is funny to keep them on. And I'd imagine they'll pull in a few more viewers - car crash TV it may be, but we all want to see it! The general public are just waking up to the fact that reality TV shows really are like Ben Eltons (slightly dull) book Chart Throb. BTW: Wasn't trying to patronise you, it's just your post gave me the perfect springboard to gob off at the stupid people who update their facebook status in outrage (i hope that isn't anyone here!). edit: beaten by DV!

fuck the twins off and let them do eurovision.
A couple of years ago Ireland entered a puppet, so they couldn't do any worse. I remember a few years ago with Chico, and having a go at him. At least he had a bit of charisma, but the twins don't even have that. Cowell said they cannot sing. Well you would've thought the judges would have spotted that before Louis put them in his final 3. As Juddie says, at the end of the day it is a singing contest, and compared to the other artists, the twins cannot sing in tune. By the way, a nice dig at them by Dannii last night.

The only thing worse than someone who updates their status to include something about the X-Factor is someone who updates it 3 times to include something about the X-Factor.

Next you'll be claiming he already knows the phone vote results before they vote the person off!

'we all want to watch them?!'
I don't and I won't.
Personal preference isn't it... I guess the beauty of it is that you can always turn over. I doubt many will stop watching it, but for me the whole thing was ruined last night.
I wouldn't say it's a tired show, though. That so many people watch it proves it. I think the artists that win it will do well, and I enjoy watching the judges, on the whole. It's only Louis who's sh*t.
Just a shame we have so many wankers in this country voting for the wankers. I'm assuming they're the same people chucking coins from the away end on Saturday.

Never actually felt strong enough to vote for anyone on X-Factor myself.
I think the show is genius. You get millions to spend money to vote for their favourite, then they release a records which millions buy. Then they go on tour so millions can pay to see them. Then Cowell buys another yacht while the 'star' performer vanishes into obscurity in time for the next cycle - with the exception of Leona Lewis and Will Young.
My point is I've always seen it as a money making machine rather than a fair talent contest. I mean, how many very good singers don't even get to be auditioned by the main judges at the expense of the freaks and clingers? The whole thing as a talent contest is flawed from day 1.
Rest assured J & E's days must be numbered. I'd be surprised if they make it past the next vote.

Next you'll be claiming he already knows the phone vote results before they vote the person off! Hmm rumours to be beleived he was in discussion with producers during the advert brake's and decided then what to do, didn't he say something like I got slated for going to public votye last week so I'll do it again - the trouble is Cowell dosen't care, I'm sure he has plans for the twins, probably some comedy angle somewhere, after all the weeks he slates them he's conveniently not bothered if they leave, it certainly sounds like a stitch up for poor Lucy.
