Win at home and draw away and you will be promoted...fact!

Winning at home being the problem...two draws already....but a point away and it keeps the run going.

So from the reports from those who went, do you think Kennedy is worth a start next match? Also macca and poss macklin? Everytime Macklin comes on he seems to do well

I wouldn't have any qualms about Kennedy playing from the start, but JFL has improved too so it is happily DW that has to decide. Although JFL didn't have a great game yesterday I do think he was left exposed on a few occasions with two players to mark. This may have had something to do with the midfield in the first half seeming a bit all over the place. Put on the spot I'd pick Kennedy (he knocks the ball around really well and puts a wicked cross in !)
Macklin is showing now that he will become an increasingly important player for us as he is improving all the time (deserved a penalty yesterday, Homer Ref missed that too) and I reckon will get a chance starting before the season is out. Macca for me remains one of our most frustrating players when he seems good enough to do a bit more (but he did well yesterday and I am being greedy)

I really dont know what happened to our team first half? At half time I felt the same way I did at Jills, totally dejected! Unlike Jills though, Wilson sorted it out at half time and we could have won. Walsall should have been 3-0 up and out of site at HT, they were decent, pressed us hard, denied us any space, we kept making mistakes at the back.

Second half we were much better, but Im still pretty dissapointed that we didnt manage to score from open play. We were doing all the attacking, but we had to rely on the ref which again is dissapointing.

Agree about the general moaning about the support. Never understand people who bother to go all that way to sit in silence, or worse moan to their hearts content. There seemed to be a lot of famillies and couples up there, and before anyone gets on my back, I dont mind it. But if you go away you should support in my view. You dont get any respect for turning up or wearing a replica shirt! That said, I agreed with the Sam Parkin chant. I think sometimes our current players need reminding that they can leave the club and be fondly remmembered, they can leave a legacy of Swindon Town history. He's the only player still playing who gets that reaction, so its not as if we are doing it every week.

The thing is the fans know we have a half decent team, that's why 800 showed up. Remmember what a true supporter is.

Agreed. Madness. Slang off our own side to then cheer and support their player who's position incidently involves scoring goals against our team...

Whilst I dont agree with slagging off our own side.

Nothing wrong giving one of best players of the last 10 years a good reception when he comes on.

true, makes we feel well old that the likes of Mark Walters, Shaun Taylor, Kevin Horlock, Peter Thorne and The Chief werent even with us within in the last 10 years.

Only seems a minute ago I was watching them play for us

I full on shouted the guy next to me down yesterday, every time Vincent did anything he would say 'go on jamie' or 'well done jamie' yet evey time Paynter was near the ball he slagged him off.  He also said he would replace all of our defence immediately after the goal.

There was one incident where i couldn't bite my tounge any more and snapped at him, Paynter made a run going one way then the ball played from midfield went the other but he was convinced Paynter should be getting on to it and it was only that he didn't run that the ball went through to the keeper.

I asked him why he spent the money on making the trip and going to the game if all he's going to do is moan.

He made me so angry and I made sure he knew it.

He probably moaned because in the first half we were unspeakably shite. Don't get me wrong some fans do go overboard on the moaning, but if the team are going to play the way we did in the first half yesterday....or the whole game at Gillingham, they deserve it. I don't agree with the people who will never hear a bad word said against the team either, because they don’t seem to get behind the team either, they seem to simply hide their heads in the sand and hope everything gets better.

Yesterday a large majority of our fans pissed me off due to seeming to be completely uninterested. 'left side, give us a song' no? just sit there looking gormless then. It says it all when proportions of our own fans our singing 'our support is fucking shit'

no, his moanings were completely misplaced, i know we were bad in the first half but the things he had to say were bollocks, his expectations suggested we should be challenging for the champions league not building a squad to compete at league 1 level.

if you want perfect football you may as well give up on the game all together as it just doesn't happen anywhere.

kind of like the guy who wants rid of the whole team behind me in the town end, then. just shouts 'get him off' everytime the slightest mistake it made.

I don't tend to single players out when frustrated, just stick to pointless general swearing. Apart from Odabeyi, who played (by Si's calculations) about a million times better when moved up front. At that point I said if he scored, I'd love him forever. I'm sort of glad he didn't now so I can moan about him next week Wink .

our support is crap - plus lets be honest, left side give us a song has to be one of the worst and most pointless football chants ever.

Despite the fact that he has scored the other 2 times I have seen him, he was much better on saturday. Suprised me how many times he was able to stay onside.
