I like Marshall and still think he's got something to offer,   When he rarely gets a chance he seems to cause problems to the opposition especially with his pace, tracks back.

I think part of the reason he's not had to much play is the lack of height, especially with Macca already playing on the left, meaning we can't play marshall on the right.

Hopefully with a run of games, he can show what he can do.

Not a bold prediction, Marshall is gone by the end of January.

This might suggest that Charlie Morris from Poole Town will be signed.

Firstly, isn't his name Charlie Austin? And secondly, how would Marshall leaving be any indication that we're going to sign a striker?

Indeed....and also I can see Marshall coming back to us and pressing for a 1st team place, despite what some other fans think of him I think he has potential.

The use of Morris for Austin was meant as a joke as Morris and Austin were the two most famous names in the domestic car industry that was, e.g. you could buy a Mini that was either a Morris or an Austin with a slightly different appearance.  Morris and Austin car bodies, not including the Mini, were built in Swindon.

With playing budgets, players going out on loan often frees up wages.  Obviously, if you want to free up some cash loaning out players is a good idea, especially as the loaned player gets first team football.

Just an opinion, I don't see Marshall being a first team regular at Swindon and I don't expect Wilson to state anything other than a positive comment.  Sturrock, on the other hand, talked about getting rid of players and of freeing up wages.  Although it was a different regime when Sturrock was manager, businesses typically run on budgets.

He won't play for us again in my oppinion, too similar to Macklin but Macklin has more potential.

I think you'd have had more luck making a joke about an "album", playing at "33 1/3" or that "Betamax vs VHS debate" and other such antiquarian nonsense. I'd make em all do national service, that'd learn em.

I was always more of an Austin man, than a Morris man (I'll leave that to SY)....this had nothing to do with the fact they were mostly built in Cowley, as Headington were then, as now, a non league irrelevance.

We had a Humber Sceptre in the family....nice bit of kit....dig the fins really futuristic.

Morris Mini's were by far the best even if they were completed in Cowley....
