What sort of crowds to they get at the speedway?  In all the years I lived in Swindon, I wasn't tempted to go once.  Went to the dogs once, but never the speedway.

Watched us destroy Poole the other day on the box, been a few times but it's actually suprisingly pricey. I think they get a fair crowd though.

Think they had about 2500-3000 on Monday night against Poole.
Will almost certainly be more there tonight.

Well, they've won & so finish top of the league.

It's 46-38 after 14 heats so they can't be beaten.

Excellent.

Pick of opponent for the playoffs then!

Yep, do we go for Lakeside, (who we've lost to 5 times already this season, albeit with extenuating circumstances), or Coventry, who seem to be the team on the up.

Top stuff. As long as we don't pick Lakeside (not sure if they're in the final 4 but they're the only team to beat us at home this season). Was going to go actually but only ever been once and we lost so thought i'd stay away.

I reckon there was about 3,500 there tonight.

And it was ruddy freezing.

Could take on Lakeside now with +8 points, or risk facing them in the final with no headstart.

Oh right. Think we should take the 8 point lead then.

It's not definate yet but if Coventry and Lakeside are the choice I'd go for Coventry and let Wolves worry about Lakeside. It'll be us and Wolves in the final anyway I reckon.

Can we save the +8 point start?

I would ride against Coventry at home in the semi and then use the +8 point start in the final.

Can we do this?

I know nothing about speedway, but I'm 99% sure the answer will be no.

Very perceptive for someone that knows nothing about speedway, the answer is indeed no ! 8 point lead is for the semi final only, the final starts all square. If Swindon progress (which they will barring any disasters) then they will be at home in the second leg of the final, not much of an advantage but at least finish at home.

If Horse Racing be the sport of Kings, drag racing is the sport of queens.

I apologise.
