...with with the 2 new boys padding out the squad a bit, how do you think Wilson will play it?

Assuming these fellas are better than what we've already got, do we go straight to 4-4-2 on Saturday for a home game?  Should we stick to one up front and just use Hutchinson to give BP a rest?

Will Cuthbert stay in the side instead of Morrison?  Will Ferry mean Timlin loses his place?

Is this the first time I've ever started a thread about players and formations?

From what was said the other night it appears that Easton is pushing Timlin too!

Morrison had an injury at the weekend, so Cuthbert might stay.

Obladi-Oblada's loan is up soon so he must be at risk of his place.

Basically, I dont know!

Hutchinson sounds too similar a player to Billy for me, time will tell..

I think we'll play 4-5-1, probably with the new striker on the right wing... In all seriousness it looks like Wilson likes that formation, so with or without new strikers, and basing this on the effect of signing the Bolton lad, he will play 4-5-1.

I'm still unsure about Lescial JF. I reckon we need a left back.

We should try and play morrison simply due to his amazing throw in abilities.

Against Saints his throwins nearly got us 2 goals

I have no idea how he's going to play it. He may decide Paynter needs a rest, and thus stick with 4-5-1 leaving Billy on the bench. If we were to go 4-4-2, he'd either have to play JPM on the right wing or drop him to the bench. I don't really want to see him out wide, but Ferry and Douglas in the middle would surely be the first choice pairing?

I prefer to call it a 4-3-3. play hutchinson macnamee paynter as the front 3 and continually swap them about, a bit like tuesday.

4-3-3 or 4-5-1, it's kind of both. David Byrne might call it a 4-three and two halves-one and two halves

What with JPM confirming a place as a central midfielder if we did go 4-4-2 we'd be without a right winger. Unless Wilson did the whole Kevin Amankwaah think again, which he better not!! I guess he could play Macca or O'Brien but both are lefties.

Lucas, Amankwaah, Greer, Morrison/Cuthbert, Kennedy, O'Brien, Douglas, JPM, McNamee, Paynter, Hutchinson - maybe?

Im tempted to stick with the 4-3-3, the team are really starting to gell. I would play cuthbert at the back with Greer. Douglas just in front with JPM and Easton pushing on. You have to start Paynter so the question is what other two? I would go for macnamee and O Brien, but have them all interchanging. Gives us a really strong bench , tope, timlin, morrison, ferry, hutchinson, Kennedy/lescinel, and smith.

we are starting to have options Smiley

Not a problem, Macca and HRK were both lefties last season and worked well, they just kept swapping throughout the game.
