Stab a footballer in both his legs. That wasn't planned was it? Fucking idiots in this world. Hope they find the culprit.

What IOB said. To stab somebody at all is gross and pathetic, but to stab somebody in both legs?! I hope they find them and give them a seriously long sentence

They've arrested two people, one at the scene and the other later in Derby - must have been a pretty bad attack as they're treating it as attempted murder. Sounds like whilst the injuries are serious, they're not life threatening which is something.
Got to have been some history to it given the nature of the attack, plus him and his mum were outside their house at 5:30am when it happened.

Apparently to do with a row with his sister about the company she was keeping, it is suggested it was done to try and end his career, next 24 hours crucial he may have to have leg amputated due to loss of blood.

It's the premeditation that is so sickening. The perpetrator, if found guilty, will be going down for a very long time.

I hope he had his legs insured, alot of players do that now. Usually only the good ones though. Still, it was a disgusting thing to do and i hope he has a full recovery and can continue to play. He hasn't had much luck though didn't he break his neck before?

Given that the sister's boyfriend is (allegedly) the one charged with the stabbing, they may have had a point (allegedly)

The TV Cameras were outside the court when i went to lunch today (about 30 yards from where i work), and it was the main story on our local news tonight. As above, the boyfriend of his sister who is from Derby is the one who has been charged.
They are fighting to save one of his legs in Bedford hospital at the moment.
