How fucking ridiculous,he clearly deserves more than the year deal he has.One set of comments hes saying he believes in youth and the next he wants them to prove themselves before they get a proper contract. He'll end up signing for someone else and well get a paltry amount decided by tribunal.

Well saved Yeovil. As long as we've got a new contract sorted before Christmas time all is well

Hmm, IIRC it was Morrison who asked for it to only be a one-year deal. If he does sign a new one before Christmas I suspect it will mainly be to boost his sale price in January

I'd be well pissed off if I was Morrison. He has done more than enough to earn a decent contract, yet Wilson comes out and says he wants to see more from him. How can Wilson justify paying six figures and a 2-3 year contract for Cuthbert who isn't making the team and not give Morrison something?

All that article will do is to help ensure Morrison doesn't sign a contract and fucks off in the summer.

"I would presume that the former will be the case - he will excel and well be talking contracts very soon. I would think they will be on-going within a month or two, before the new year.

It's pretty obvious that Wilson is going to offer him a contract, and I'd say it's fair enough to say he needs to keep playing well to earn it. Look at JP, he did bugger all last year but now he has something to play for (his place in the team) he's back to his best

I wouldnt be so quick to judge Cuthbert.

Morrison's stock is obviously high after scoring the winner on tuesday. He's been solid but not spectacular so far (overrall).

Hope he stays though.

I wasn't judging Cuthbert, just using him as an example - if he's good enough to earn a contract then surely Morrison is. Don't forget all the games Morrison played last season either, plus I don't recall him ever being dropped for his form - only to give him a rest and possibly for an injury.

I'm more amazed that Fitton hasn't forced the issue already. He goes on about developing young players to make a profit, then runs the risk of losing a potential star on the cheap. A 2-3 year extension for Morrison on half decent money is a a pretty good gamble with his potential - he could be worth as much as Cox in a year or two.

Solid but not spectacular..everything i want in my defence...ive said for the last year that Morrison should be playing..course he will make the odd mistake when playing against pace..can score goals and can throw the ball miles, also like the way he takes a challenge and gets on with the game without whinging..as i said last season Cox aside he was my player of the season...great to see Fitton using his loaf and if(when he goes we will get decent money....with no sell on clauses!

Its not a bad quality to have as a defender is it?

If the striker is outpacing him to the ball, he sticks it into the stand. When the ball comes forward he gets a great big thumping head on it and puts it upfield.

It is a fine line to tread for the board. You want to keep your best young players, and because of their age they are also some of the most valuable players at the club. But that doesnt mean they should be among the biggest earners, because then they feel like they are made and they dont listen to anyone anymore.

If you want to know how difficult a dilema this is for modern football club's, then read Lou Macari's book.  Sad

Im sure it will be sorted. The press and the fans dont need to get involved.

thats probably why Wilson is going to offer him a contract like.

of course we wouldnt have this issue if (for whatever reason) he'd signed a 3 year deal last year.
