Have we had the scarf over the head photo yet?
That's only for permanent signings Paul. Loan signings only have to hold a shirt up..which he is doing on the OS..so it's all official.

According to the Bolton fans he has a lot of potential, bags of pace and strength, too good for the reserves but not ready for the first team yet.

Apparently is a lot like Michael Ricketts, his pace flatters but can run around in circles a lot.

He sounds like just what we need though IMO, speedy and getting into scoring positions, scored goals at every level for Bolton/Coventry/England....up to first team level anyway, never been given a chance in the first team as yet...3 sub appearances.

I'm afraid Bolton haven't sent him here to do US any favours. Should he perform well, Megson will recommend the U20 tourno to judge his ability against other 'exciting prospects'. A recall to Bolton would maybe seem inevitable given their own 'striker crisis'. It's Catch 22 really : if he's crap over 6 games we keep him to let him develop. If he's any good then he returns to Bolton. A good fill in nonetheless.

I'm really disappointed, no fucker has come on saying "What a crap signing" yet.  Wink
Maybe I need to go & check out the adver site

Anyway let's hope that the lad plays well, scores a sack full of goals & we get to keep him for the season.
But if not and it ends up that we only get him for a month, at least it gives DW the opportunity to get in someone on a permanent basis.

I'm worried about DV, for such a young man being so depressed all the time is scary.
I think he needs a season away from The County Ground to get his head back.
My therapy would be to become an armchair Man U or Chelsea fan for a season and take the piss out of those silly enough to support a little club like Swindon.

Whether his comments are right or wrong - DV does seem to be on the brink of spontaneous combustion lately Smiley

See he's been given squad no. 24 - that still leaves no. 9 vacant.  A permament deal on the cards in the not too distant future (and not Trundle) I hope.
Looking at the squad numbers hopefully says there is a first choice left back and striker still to come which would make me feel much more comfortable.

Yes I agree with Glos_Robin. We definately need a really good left fullback & anotherr striker but hopefully this new Bolton striker will come though tomorrow, we will win the game & then DW will manage to get both another defender & a new striker very shortly. Thik we all need to be positive.

Good signing though a month is abit silly..............looks a hot prospect but you get the feeling if (i hope) he does well we wont get him for longer.

It's been a while since we brought somone in for a month and a month only, Sam Collins was possibly our last one almost 2 years ago. Before that was Grimes, James and Partridge who came in on the same day.
