only seems a minute ago we went there and dicked them 3-0.
Fallon at the double and a goal from fucking Hewlett I think.
In that time we've gone down to L2 and back to L1. Luton have gone up from L1 to the Championship, down from the Championship to L1, down from L1 to L2 and down from L2 to the Oxford League.
Fuck me, that was over 5 years ago.....I remember it like it was yesterday. Luton must have been shit if Hewlett scored.

1-0 Douglas...nice, 1-2 on the edge of the box and a finish from the edge of the box.

He has scored a few in his career so far but not an out and out goalscorer as such. Might be worth a gamble, and is still young.

Finished 1-0 in the end, not bad really, still only a friendly but every win is good for morale and confidence.

Very lovely goal, not much in the game really, Luton, on that showing will be straight back up.
Liked Douglas, didn't lke Easton at all tonight, Timmy looked better when he came on. Mackiln looked lost for the first half then suddenly came alive for a while in the second, a good ten minute period from him suggested he's nearly there.
O'Brien is very quick, Lecsinel looked good, Kennedy looked comfortable. Big plus was Lucas for me, big booming voice, constantly communicating with the team which was very comforting, if not a little annoying...
Macca looked very confident when introduced.
In all I'd say we looked organised but I'd like another CM and the obvious striker but if Lloyd can show more of what he did in the spell leading to the goal and after then maybe he can step up and we'll only need the one?
So nice to catch a game, in Luton news they have the fattest player I've seen in a very long time, played some of second half wearing 15, can Luton Fan shed any light?

15 is Ed Asafu-Adjaye according to their website. Know nothing about him other than I signed him on FM Handheld and he was very good.

That name doesn't sound likely to me, 15 must be the proper squad number, he didn't look anything like a 'Asafu-Adjaye' more a Jack Ginster.
When I get up I have ten pints, a curry and a hot-dog then i go out and play some football then have another curry - that would be his theme tune.
Looking at the subs used and when I think it must have been Ian Roper.

that number 15 was a bouncer, i enjoyed shouting "no trainers" every time he got the ball. He must be a joke player surely?
well, david lucas has a gob on him! fuck me he makes schmeichal sound like helen keller, i thought Lucas was great tonight, pulled off a couple of good saves, caught everything and good kicking, plus he bossed and informed the defence.
Kennedy and amankwah had similar games, both effective, occasionally caught but quick to recover, good going forward.
Lescinel and greer look a very promising partnership, Lescinel looks very composed on the ball and fuck me has he grown 6 inches in the close season?
Obrien is fast as fuck, he looks a cracking signing, good cross on him too. Easton looked like a leauge 2 player, he tried hard but it just wasnt happening, mcgovern put in a good shift, however man of the match was easily douglas. fuck me is this the signing we have been waiting years for? If you could imagine a really fast and fit Nallis then your getting close, hes hard in the tackle, comfortable on the ball, great vision and when timlin came on he next to him a midfiend player that seemed to be on the same wavelength as him. Everytime douglas got the ball he seemed to have space, brilliant signing me reckons. Timlin was much much better than easton and i reckon him and douglas will be our first choice, they complimented each other very well.
Macklin looked totally lost for 55 minutes, he then got injured and looked like he would have to go off, but he stayed on and for the next 15 minutes was fucking awesome, winning balls, running at defenders, chasing down, him and douglas combined beautifully for the goal, a brilliant back heeled one two. he has a powerful shot on him to. The thing that showed for me though was when macklin clicked Paynter looked so much more dangerous too. Paynter definately needs someone there alongside him scurryin around and causing trouble as it frees up space for billy. We so need another striker.....
Macnamee came on and did ok, so overall not a bad night, it was a good work out with lots of positives, not a huge amount happened but as a training exercise was spot on. Cant imagine Luton not coming straight back up, they looked tonight like an average league 1 team.

"Cant imagine Luton not coming straight back up, they looked tonight like an average league 1 team" I hope that comes true and our inbred friends from up the A420 have another year of misery after missing out to Histon in the playoffs.

Good summary there Mex, welll it appears to have highlighted that we do as we all know, need at least 1 more striker.
Unfortunatly its not going to be Samba or Spencer as both have been released from trials with us.
