I take it the Howeller hasn't qualified?

We may well see him at the County Ground a bit this season if his golf career is winding down.

Cant wait...Howeller will do well to make the cut,be nice to see him do well,Surry from Trowbridge qualified to.................Westwood will be there abouts and outside bets could be Stenson,Levet and Steve Stricker whos been top ten in 3 opens and won last week in America.............come on the Howla!

PS Howell qualified on the back of finishing 7th last year.

As Leefer said qualified on the back of last year, but his form this season has been disastrous....can't have made more than two or three cuts.  Golf is a cruel game and there must be a chance that Howell is finished. Still earned a pile of $, but he should now be around his prime.

That is Steve Surry he's on about yeah.

I really hope Surry does well, he's a fucking amazing golfer and this is just the kind of break he needs. I really think he's gonna tear it up, he's been unbelievably consistent now for at least the last 4 years.

Years ago he used to play with a huge slinging hook. Be good if he gets some tv coverage. Shame the BBC are not showing it in HD

Steve's class, I'm sure he'll do well, I've played with him once or twice round the 'well and he pures it.

Its a massive chance for him...if he makes the cut hes guaranteed 15 grand...if he makes the top 10 he will get an invite to the next Euro tour event,,top 15 gets you back into next year,it opened up lots of doors for Justin Rose on the back of one good open.
As for Howell as Reg says its been disastrous..i follow him closely and hes had personal problems the last 2 years, got married two weeks ago so hopefully will settle abit now....still a great putter and he will come back IMO...hes a credit to Swindon and does alot of work for charity and always helps in events at his old club Broome when he can.

Fuck me, Daniel Gaunt's made it in as well. He's a good young 'un. Oh well, i don't really gamble because i don't really understand it, but Lambert and Cox gave me some winnings last season, so i'll have a bet on Gaunt and Surry. Cheesy

Defo gonna be a European Tour winner, I fancy Westy or Kaymer, can't see any of the USPGA guys challenging except maybe Casey.

Dunno what Leefer's on about, Howell's short game has been and always will be shite.
