Am I right in thinking the BBC have the FL highlights as well now? Or is that still ITV?

I think the BBC have all FL rights so highlights will be included I would have thought. Hopefully they will still be on at about 10:30 on a Sunday morning.

That's a fucking disaster for me as I can't use the wanky BBC online stuff being outside the UK. Please tell me that Sky are still going to show Big Weekend 1 and 2 or do they not have any rights any more?

Supposedly all FL highlights will be available on the red button from 10pm with any highlights programme likely to follow after MOTD.
The live games will be screened on BBC HD as well. Sweeeeeeeet.

I'm told from people who live abroad, that if you hide your IP Address the bbciplayer and websites don't recognise that you're abroad and it gets around the issue.Might be worth trying?

if you hide your IP Address the bbciplayer and websites don't recognise that you're abroad and it gets around the issue. It does work. You need to use a UK based proxy. I don't know why the BBC insist on it, it seems silly. I'm sat at a desk here in the UK but because my work's internet connects through an ISP in Switzerland I can't access any media on the BBC site.

PLEASE help out a computer spaz and tell me how i would do this. Use easy words and no joined up writing. Ta Will differ depending on what internet browser you use, but somewhere in 'Options' will be connection settings and will give you an option to connect via a proxy server. Just Google 'uk proxy server' or something similar and you should find various sites listing proxy servers which will be an IP address and a port number. Put these details into the browser options and that's about it. Most proxies get taken down or slow up after a while so you'll need to change it on a regular basis.

Because they show things like Formula 1 highlights on it. In fact, lots of sports that are not free to air in other countries. The website is excellent. Something for the license fee payers! Like me.

I agree Spencer. A lot of people slag off Auntie Beeb and say it's a waste of money but the website and iplayer services are definitely a good use of the money.
