How the fuck have all our dog shit players from last season managed to stay in league 1

Fuck knows.  Good agents?  Shit managers?  These teams have no scouts? 2010/11 season didn't actually happen?

Truth is some of them are good players. But put in the wrong situation they turn to dog sh*t. Presumably the latter part was overlooked.

I offer no explanation in Rose's case (or AOB, but I quite like him).

Living of past reputation.

Did you know David Prutton played for England Under 21s and once cost 2.5m
Did you know Jonathan Douglas played in the Premier League for Blackburn, played for Leeds and was capped by ROI
Did you know Michael Rose was part of the Norwich side that won L1
Did you know Jon-Paul McGovern topped the L1 assists chart in 2010

Managers will see stuff like that on players CVs and think, well ok it didnt work out last season but I might be able to get the best out of them.

The same way our fans liked the idea of George Burley as our a manager - because he won manager of the year in 2001 - done fuck all else since and will live off that in every single job interview for the rest of his life. Chairmen will be taken in by it.

In a way why I am much happier with the players and manager we have, very few have a previous reputation in England or in Management - so they have to make their reputation - which will either see their career flourish or end quicker than Thomas Dossevi's time in England.

Even though there were indeed dog shit last season doesn't mean they're actually bad players. Remember, a lot of these 'dog shit' players almost got us promoted the previous season.

Went to Gateshead vs. Kettering Town today.

Jerel Ifil looked comfortable at that level.

Barely noticed Noubissie.

Ashikodi is still rubbish.

i see Leon Mackenzie played for Kettering and scored, I thought he may have been a good signing at our level, always had an eye for a goal, will do well there I think, did he play well?

Caught offside far too many times but had a decent first touch.

Phil Ifil has put on a fair bit of weight, this could explain his decline.
