A goal is a goal....just because it wasn't a thirty yard screamer means nought.

Paynter scores winner v Newcastle in 3-2 friendly win.

I was speaking to a Leeds fan on Friday night. Apparently they have a lot of strikers injured at the moment and seems BP is now going to have to step up to the first team. Leeds fans have a lot of time for BP as he always works his socks off for them.

Yeah mate I work with really likes paynter and is adamant he will come good this season for them. I keep trying to tell him he only had one good season in 3 for us but he's still living I'm hope.

In terms of goal scoring yes. 19 in 78 first two seasons. Then 26 in 44 in the one season I Mentioned, speaks for itself really.

not really if you consider how many goals cox scored off the back of paynters efforts.

take kevin davies, hardly ever gets into double figures but has been one of the first names on the team sheet up in bolton because of his effort

What Mr. Kinky said...

Anyone who thinks Paynter only had one good season, is well - wrong.

I never said paynter only had one good season overall. I meant in terms of goalscoring, which he did only have one good season. I personally really liked paynter.

I strongly disagree. IMHO the previous 2 seasons were average. I believe Cox would have scored as many with a fit Corr.

How strange? The Leeds fans I spoke with all say he is crap and too slow.
