News of the Chippenham Goal Machine

Quote
BBC Sport's David Dulin reports: "As if the blow of losing manager Dean Holdsworth to Aldershot wasn't big enough for Newport County fans, things have just got worse as top scorer Craig Reid has left for League Two side Stevenage. The deal is a "club record" for Stevenage - but undisclosed - includes strike duo Charlie Griffin and Yemi Obubade going in the opposite direction."

I recall Charlie Griffin having a nice little spell at Newport a few years back.

That's his level. Amazing at Chippenham though.

Ball sounds a bit bitter about his time here...

"I was played out of position at Swindon, I am a striker and am joining to play in that role. I can't wait to get started."

Good luck to David Ball, however the lasting memories that he will leave me with were his piss poor displays at Dagenham and Oldham.
