I'd say naming a stand after him is a pretty big honour
Agreed but that is only recognised by STFC - I was suggesting him being recognised by the wider community

Wider community?
Perhaps a statue of Don Rogers covered in toffee.

On a Walsall related note, does anyone know if any club has picked up Sam Parkin?

Parkin is still a free agent.

You don't have 5 shit seasons then find a club easily unfortunately.
I can see him ending up somewhere like Wrexham or Mansfield in the Conference.

I wonder if Sam could cut it as a coach with particular responsibility for strikers? If so, would STFC be interested? Might be a good appointment for PR as well as keeping all the "Bring back Sam'ers" happy, always providing that he was primarily useful as part of the coaching team.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't think his playing career is over yet!

Probably mentioned in here somewhere even if it is old new. Christian Roberts was/is at Maesteg Park in the Welsh Leagues now.

Jamie Vincent has now signed for Aldershot after being released from his contract at Walsall in order so he can be close to his family home in Berkshire.
I know someone else on here who would also love to play their football at Aldershot.
