He turned down a contract with Walsall as it was only a year to go on trial at a SPL side but didnt get taken on. He then went back to Walsall saying he would accept the contract they offered him originally but Walsall said "fuck off you didnt want to be here, we only want people who want to be here" and he has dissapeared

"Take your gloves off for the lads."
Hereford fans to Swindon's Sofine Zaaboub. On a blazing hot day when players were stopping frequently for drinks, he was possibly the only player in the country to be wearing gloves! (David Tingle, England).

On the 7th July 2009 Walsall manager Chris Hutchings revealed that Zaaboub had left the club. Hutchings told the official website: ""I received a phone call late on Wednesday from Sofiene informing me that another club wanted to take him on a three-day trial. He was told that if he did not report for training as agreed his contract offer would be taken away as I only want people here who are committed to the club."

The rest is history, as is Zaaboub's football career.

Boobie "currently unattached". Ohhh dear........

He didn't consistently produce did he. The game that stands out for me was Cheltnum away, I think it was our 1st away game the season after promotion, the Town fans were boisterous (still celebrating re-joining lge 1) & Sofi was really turning it on. I remember we were saying on the way out of that game that we'd never keep hold of him if he kept that form up. He didn't.
