Just had a 10 min chat with Sean Morrison on Chipping Norton high st

Really nice bloke

Said he still looks out for Town results and that there were discussions last season about returning but it didnt fit right with timings. Said we need some experience at the back now but he said he is fully retired.

Harry Chard (released in summer) played as a trialist for Reading U21’s tonight - they drew 1-1 with Norwich City in the Premier League 2.

Interesting that some of the players released have gone onto a higher level? Didnt Obodo sign for Reading?

He certainly did, it might have no correlation that Noel Hunt and Sean Wood are both at Reading now in the hierarchy but it could be that they have a u21 team and we don’t, their academy is certainly a higher category and has had a lot more money put in to it than ours because they were in the Championship for years

Scott Marshall (here under Garner) is Reading’s assistant manager now too.

Drinan seems to be knackered and hasnt really been part of the play in the last 10 mins, might be worth bringing on fresh legs in attack down the right for him.
