Joe Westley starts at the Ibrox, worse places to make your debut.

Scott Twine still hits a brilliant free-kick. Just a pity who he's currently doing it for.

Couldn’t find a “nearly joined Swindon Town” thread. Charles Vernam starts and scores for Grimsby, strange how they was happy to just let us have him. He started last week too, strange.

Got the most goals from outside the box in all 4 divisions (not sure of time frame) Louie Barry on the left for the blades.

Charles Vernam scored for Grimsby today. Feels weirdly like an ex player even though he's obviously not....

Crawley fan on Twitter made me laugh, it sounds familiar.
“It’s very clear that we are in desperate need of a striker … Tsahimanga just loves laying on the floor and can’t fucking shoot! Also need a couple of wingbacks coz Mckirdy looks like a lost child out there! And ffs start Anderson! Not fucking good enough, pathetic”

Fletcher Hubbard played 70 mins for Braintree in their 3-0 win over Halifax in the National League.
Him, Keyes and Obodo could be the ones that got away, when we don't have an under 21 or development team. Maybe Abu Kanu, but I haven't seen him sign for someone yet since Hereford trial.

That's a decent level for a young un to be playing. 3 tiers higher than we've been able to find loans for most of those we have retained and at a level that Minturn hasn't been able to get out to yet at least this season.

Very frustrating to see. I even think Harry Chard looked decent too against Birmingham last season/FA Youth Cup Run and we released him too. Once or twice a month since Holloway has joined he mentions the need for a 21’s game programme but I can’t see it happening while we are in League 2.

It's a crying shame we don't have an under 23 development team. They either need to be way above the level (McGregor, Ameen etc) and go straight into our first team, or we have to essentially release them. I just hope Foye gets a good loan. I like the look of him.

Having a reserves/u21/u23 side whatever you want to call it would be great, it’s the funding side of things obviously and who in this current administration would fund another team. We are definitely missing out on some great talents a la Obodo, Keyes, Hunt etc and our loans system doesn’t seem to be that great either need more loans going to the National league and not NLS/NLN preferably

It's just a shame we've had such a great crop of academy players under this ownership.

38 free agents at this weeks PFA pre-season. Jake Cain, Tariq Uwakwe and Saidou Khan drop off the list. Jermaine Hylton and former scholar Mustapha Carayol remain.
