I think he did very briefly and then re-joined a few months later.

Pretty sure he got sacked or walked.

A few years back people wanted him here!

He's have been worth taking a chance on IMO. Better chance of success than Kennedy ever had. The usual suspects thought people were being negative but that looked a pretty clear misstep.

With my tin foil hat firmly in place again, I'm still convinced he torpedoed (or Thorpedoed?) our season on purpose. Little bastard.

That 'miss' at Yeovil....that alone backs up your theory!

Bycroft winning fans and influencing people already it seems.

And I thought our fanbase was overly critical of some new signings (which TBF it has been) at least give the bloke a chance to impress before writing him off.

https://www.exeweb.com/forums/threads/jack-bycroft-signs.65779/

Other than the negative OP, nobody is writing Jack off there. Potentially an improvement on last year's 'keeper No 2, who's main role appeared at times to be the camp jester. 2 year deal suggests development this season, and who knows next ?

Good luck, Jack.

On the face of it, it looks like a step up.
Backup keeper at a L1 club rather than a L2 club, however having turned down a deal because he didn’t want to be a backup it’s probably a bit of a reality check for him.

Judging on Bycroft's performances, he needs constant minutes at a lower level. Buy hey, if he's happy to sit on the bench for a couple of years and get a steady pay check, be my guest. Easy money, cant complain about that!

Agree with both of these. Seems like short term gain as longer term would be better to be playing NL football regular.
