Perfection is not attainable

At this stage agree, 12-17th. Which is madness, because we are leaky and don't create much - right now.

I think we are into win some/lose some lottery results - which should be enough. e.g. despite being rubbish v most of the Carlisle match I think we score first we win.
Pretty much this but I fear a poor run will have us struggling to find form again.

If we scored 1st on Saturday I think we probably would have gone on and won, the lino injury hampered our progress when we had by far the upper hand at the stage.

This league really is poor though and anyone can easily beat anyone else.

Also dont forget that after 7 games last season Doncaster were 3rd bottom on 5 points (we have 6 currently) and after 14 games Doncaster were in 17th and MKD were 18th on 17 and 16 points yet both reached the PO's.

The year before Rovers were in 17th place on 7 points after the first 7 games with Mansfield 1 place above also on 7 points, Rovers gaining promotion and Mansfield making the PO's.

I said pre season I would judge Kennedy after 10 league games, but so far its some good, slightly more bad and mostly bang average.

That's true and definitely the kind of timeframe we need to take stock.

Genuine Q - what changed for them both, manager or heavy January recruitment, or both or nothing (it just clicked)? I honestly don't know - will look later if nobody else knows.

Not sure, I am sure they both kept their manager though for the Doncaster and Bristol part, McCann at Donny and Barton at Rovers.

Bristol Rovers had Elliot Anderson. And that was that really. A premier league quality player strutting about in league 2 from January onwards. Almost single handily dragged them up the league.

The fact we get worse each season, I am sure we'll drop out the league this season. #NLSTFC. I'll be off to Supermarine at that point.

You dont want non league football so you'll go and watch a team even further in non league?! If Supermarine is who you want to watch, I'd be going now!

I also think relegation to non league is inevitable, though my "I'm not giving this board a penny" phase began last season. Instead I've been visiting Reading FC on their £10 ticket days with my nephews, and giving as much money to Dai Yongge as possible. Big fan of his work!

I think the point is if its non league either way may as well give it to the team with owners who aren't cunts.

I think I understand where he's coming from though. It fits in with "not a penny more" line, drawn in a different place to yourself.

I have always said I would go and watch Ciren instead. But I think I'd do a few selected Swindon away games instead.

Well, we need *two* teams to be worse than us!

Personally I think we'll be fine and solid-safe-bottom-third, but it's not based on an awful lot of evidence. 17th or something.

There is probably enough dross in this division to see us finish in the late teens.
Of course once the dross goes down and the promoted teams are significantly better & we get worse we move closer to being the dross that does go down.

It really does feel a bit inevitable at this point.

I don't want non league football for STFC, but when the inevitable happens I won't be there. TBF I'm not there now  Cheesy

It's the running of the club that's driven me away.

Jack Stephens gets banned for two matches after calling the fourth official a fucking little cunt after his red card against Manchester United, after calling the referee a cunt whilst he was in the process of being sent off.
