It is a fave. What would have been hilarious {in my warped skit thinking mind}...was if Egbo had actually quoted the song when backing out of the deal... 'No, sorry...business hours are over...' I'm sure many of would have been 'fumin' at the time but hindsight and time really is a great tonic to seeing other factors and coming to terms with any form of loss

It isn't that deep really. I could not give 2 shits how his career goes. No one wanted him and we took him on. He promised the club he was signing and would be in on whatever day and didn't bother turning up
for that reason i repeat... fuck him
I concur. I third

It's strange because your posts about him come across as if you do care. Egbo has been gone a while though... No players really care about STFC {or any club for that matter} and it'll always be ''player first'' in most instances. We occasionally might get the odd one player in a blue moon, who may pledge some allegiance but they are always looking for their next/a better move for the next part of their career. It literally is just business and we all know this

Egbo could be a monster in the way we currently setup. It will be interesting to see how much Garner gets out of him at Colchester.

Fifthed.
Sixthed (?!). He even posed in the STFC bucket hat in the off season on his Instagram to give us all hope. It all just reminds me how shabbily Garner behaved when he left too.

Got to say I don’t really give Garner much thought these days. I’ll boo and hiss when he turns up, of course, but as for harbouring animosity from years ago, not so much.

I’d suggest anyone harbouring day to day animosity towards an ex manager needs help!

I don’t harbour animosity against anyone but it Garner was really interviewing for the Charlton job in the middle of the play offs then I’m glad it all went to shit there for him

Absolutely, barring Sheridan of course Garner wanted out before the play offs so for that alone I dislike him, he didnt want to be with us so he can fuck off, I never took to him anyway as a person and I know I am not the only one who felt that way.

Absolutely, barring Sheridan of course There's a fair few who aren't over McMahon yet, and I know at least one older fan who still spits at the name of Dave Mackay!

I think Garner is in a tricky spot with the Colchester job in that if it does go tits up, it will only really be his season at us that he can probably point to him doing 'wellish'. Disaster at Rovers, miserable at Charlton when stepping up a division and if he fails at Colchester, it's going to be difficult for him. He's still young and can learn, but it might be that coaching is where his future lies.
