Perfection is not attainable

Might be one of those players that shows something in training and coaches/managers keep taking a chance on him even though it baffles every fanbase.
Nothing against him, I hope he has a good long career but he was probably the worst keeper I have ever seen at Swindon bar none. And I saw every game Reice Charles-Cook played for Swindon!

He wasn’t even the worst keeper that season, albeit he only played once, but Joe Fryer was even worse.

Hardly a glowing reference though Smiley

Only Lanzano comes close really.

Having looked into a few of the potential trialists we had around, it seems teams in the top two Divisions stack their U23/U21 groups with all manner of punts.  Watford for example, they signed three or four from non-league teams into their U21's in January, then released them all again in June.

I imagine they have stacked Academies and then flesh out the U21/U23 squads to ensure sufficient size to have competitive games, with a view to only a handful actually being real prospects.

It's one of the reasons the Best Academy stuff we have been promoting as an aim looks like nothing more then marketing spiel to me.  It costs a fucking fortune to run a proper Academy, one that wishes to compete for the top tier especially.  They are full on factories with huge investments necessary.

St Johnstone to sign Matt Smith from Franchise.

Presume it’s the same Matt Smith

It isn't. The one we had on loan from Arsenal signed for Wigan weeks ago.

Crawley are a shambles behind the scenes. I don't think they have even released any kits yet.

I heard SL took the huff after their pre-season 9-1 defeat at Pompey and told a number of them that they would never play for him again.

I thought his company moved to doing Crawley and we moved 'in house'.

Is that saying he's now employed directly by Crawley?

Jack Stephens signs a 2 year extension at Southampton. Wondering why they let him stay so long at Bournemouth
