I liked Raffa as a player and he seemed a decent sort too. Good luck to him.

Partick looked far better than St Johnstone when I saw them 2 weeks ago or so, the standard of Scottish Premier League football is pretty dire. In the Scottish cup final at the weekend Motherwells keeper Trevor Carson was released by Cheltenham 3 years ago along with free transfer signings who were released prior to signing for them by Oldham, Grimsby, Coventry, Gateshead, FGR, Plymouth and Blackpool. Its no wonder that Celtic have walked that league at a canter this year. Apparently Miles could well be on his way back to Inverness as he is one of their highest earners and they want him off the wage bill.

Andy Williams has signed for Northampton.
If he stays fit he is an asset at this level. But thats a big IF.

I saw he was made available for transfer but today was mutually released, I liked Doughty a very intelligent footballer who was a great asset when on his game.

Doughty was a bit hot and miss and took the shot on too often - also, all one foot. Saying that, in Div 4 with a solid defensive midfielder behind him (Rohan Ince) he would be very good. He would be a big upgrade on Anderson.

Ince would be my first choice if it came down to 3 players, Banks, Ince or Doughty but I think Doughty can fill in at LB as well as CM a position we are lacking in at the moment.
Probably just pie in the sky that he or any of those players would sign for us anyway.

Doughty didn't look right in the bit of the second season he was with us - the injury (or was it illness) seemed to floor him.
Thought he was good enough in his first season though.

He got some nasty illness and was in hospital for several weeks and didn't look the same when he came back into the side. https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/2016/september/update-on-michael-doughty-/Appendicitis with complications.
