I'm guessing Sheffield Wednesday weren't interested then. Despite a number of people moaning about his release or not getting a chance it would appear he just wasn't good enough...
The reason I moaned about it is that he is the same age as my lad and was in the youth cricket team that I coached. I hoped that he would make it as a pro. Disappointing when you hear bad news about someone you know, especially as, given the back end of the year before, it looked as if he was on the verge of a breakthrough season last year. Bit surprised he's not turned up at Forest Green though. |

It's not like he's had time on the pitch to show if he's good enough or not is it ?
He was judged not good enough based on training it would seem.
Nathan Thompson would probably have been released if he was a young pro at the current time at the club. He didn't feature much for a significant amount of time.

Not good enough at the present time!! We have just signed that guy from Woking who was released from a pro club, developed and now back in the league. Of course we never know if there is an attitude problem with young players - that holds them back. |
