Anyone remember Paul Mitchell, who we had on loan about 10 years ago, from Wigan.  Kingy got him to cover at right back, when he had to get shot of Gurney because of his indiscretion. Played about half a dozen games, I thought he was OK, and Kingy wanted to sign him, but Wigan wanted him back.

Anyway, it seems he is behind player recruitment at Soton, and so is now being headhunted by Pochettino for Spurs. Wonder if he was anything to do with us getting Stephens and Turnbull?

Yeah I remember PM he was a very good player for us and would have loved him to have signed, I didn't realise that was the same one, I read his name earlier and thought I recognised it from somewhere.

Similar time to another forgotten King gem, Dean Marney.

If Mitchell is behind the Tadic and Pelle signings, he certainly has an eye for talent...or is he responsible for youth signings (Chambers, Shaw et al)?

Lee Holmes looks like he's joining Burton.

He's resigned now, apparently off to Spurs.

Interesting....in response to an earlier question it looks like Mitchell scouts the big boys, so probably nothing of real interest to us. Norwich now look to be our feeder club.
