we let Paynters contract run out. Austin handed in a transfer request. Not the same.

But we did make Paynter a new contract offer which would have made him the best paid player at the club, but he declined to sign it, so in my book he chose to leave, just as Austin did.

Why would it wind me up? as much as I thought Paynter was a decent player for us and our fans never took to him.
