no reason to doubt it? apart from the fact its ridiculously high!!
We all hear things and at the end of the day no knows exactly what is true and what isnt but I was told Douglas was basically shipped out because he was earning too much and he was only on 4.5k a week.
I've been lead to believe our wage cap is only 2.5k per week.

Believe what you want. It is high, and 65 grand a week on wages is too. Considering players like bodin-thompson-said-etc earn less than you and me it makes sense. I wouldn't put it on here if i didn't think it was true. These aint rumours from people in pubs.

our weekly outgoings on players wages are 65 grand a week. So £3.38m / season. Out of interest, compared to: Yeovil £1m, Udders £10m, Sheff Utd £12m. Sauce: a club, not STFC, Chairman.

It's high for league 2 and why success is a must. I don't know if Di canio's wages and his coaching staff are included in the 65 grand figure. Do you know how clubs in our div compare? I'd be interested to know.

Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of the death of the Revd William Pitt, who not only founded STFC, but also played and captained them. He was curate of Christ Church, Swindon at the time, where the current club chaplain is Vicar, and is buried in Liddington churchyard - he was vicar there for over 50 years. Was glad to be present at a memorial service for him, to rededicate his refurbished grave, paid for by STFC. Not a large number of people there, but Nick Watkins spoke extremely well at the beginning, reminding people of the values that surrounded the setting up of clubs in the 19thC, and a really excellent address from Peter Lupson, author of 'Thank God for Football', who had an enormous amount of information about William Pitt and the early days of the club (despite being a Norwich supporter himself!). I was glad to be there, and the soup and sandwiches, served by club staff, were good too on a very cold morning!! Thanks to all involved.

Another example of how well the board do on these things nowadays. We might not always agree on everything (ticket prices/white kits etc) but on the whole they're doing a pretty good job IMO.

He's being linked with a return to Southampton. Curtis Weston scored for Gillingham this evening (Frampton got an own goal).
