My impression is that, typically, playing careers have become shorter in latter years, as the game has become faster demanding greater fitness. There are of course exceptions, hence I have used the word, typical. Salah is incredible, Son may no longer be a starter and so on.............Salah is interesting, because it seems that Liverpool weeren't sure, apparently, to offer him a contract when he was 32, then he goes on to being a big factor in Liverpool winning the Premiership.

A lot more big money moves aboard for ageing players now too.

Players who might have stayed in the Premiership from say 32-35 now go to Saudi League instead…
Clubs benefit from getting in decent transfer fees too.

Footballers age differently from each other.

Style of play, injuries, life style etc.

Only have to look at 40 year old Ronaldo & 39 year old Wayne Rooney…

Certain positions as well, a pacy forward or winger will generally seem older than a CM. Keepers can go the longest.

Usually if you start early, you finish early like a Rooney or Norman Whiteside. Makes Milners situation even more incredible as he debuted at 16.

It was definitely that one month loan spell here that made him what he is today…

Harry Toffolo reported to be in USA holding talks with Charlotte FC. Nathan Byrne is their current right back, I assume Jordan Turnbull will be the next transfer target.

Good signing for them, but you'd have thought Ofoborh would've been aiming slightly higher than that.

Barnet are quite fancied this season.

Wasn't actually meant as a dig at Barnet, but I heard rumours of league 1 teams sniffing around Ofoborh back in June.
