I know, ridiculous. One of my biggest pet hates. Ryan East just coming on for Bradford, have to admit I wouldn't know him if he walked up to me in the street and punched me in the face...

Sponsorship reasons, clubs are contracted to wear the away kit (with different advertising on) a certain number of games per season.

Same sponsors front & back.

Ah right I thought the back of the away kit was a different sponsor, in which case maybe its their lucky kit?

I think it’s an EFL rule fotr the benefit if fans who buy them - they know that the away kit will be worn a certain number of times (minimum) and likewise the third kit.

Probably also helps marketing as there will be some who are persuaded to buy if they know it will be worn a reasonable number of times

Still a regular reference where I sit whenever a player goes over in a gust of wind and pre-emptively grabs the ball expecting a free kick, only for it to be rightfully given as a handball.
Got red carded for that once I seem to remember!
