Loved Mullin, always gave 100%...Played the game as I would have done... if I was fit.... and was any good at football... not to mention 20 odd years younger...

I honestly cannot remember my view on his departure.  My memory is of a good player, so I hope I was not like one of the comments on this link:

Looks like we let him go.

I *think* we had a discussion comparing him to Steve Finney.

I always maintained if he’d played centrally he’d score goals & your counter point was no one really plays a two up top big man / little man partnership like the Chief and Finney.

The consensus was that he might be a bit too ‘90s’

….or I could be misremembering the whole thing

There is indeed such a conversation.  You mentioned him being Finney like and I suggested he would have done well next to Allison.  JJ mentioned him looking good when playing as a striker more so than wide to kick that off

I see that Paul Mullin has extended his stay with the team from North Wales until 2026.

Looks like we let a gem slip through the net, with the benefit of hindsight of course.

Who could have predicted a return not far short of a goal per game over the last 3 years or so.

Why did he leave us/we let him go?  I seem to remember him being well thought of, especially the effort he put in.
Apparently he wanted to move back to his native Liverpool area, hence him moving to Tranmere, and then after 1 season moved to Cambridge which is further away from Liverpoool than Swindon!

I don't think we could have tempted him to stay even by doubling his wages, he wanted to leave.

Paul Trollope also on the Luton coaching staff at Luton, having joined in November.

Mick Harford, who spent time on the STFC coaching team under Andy King, now in charge of recruitment.

Also Amari'i Bell in the team, ex Town loanee from Birmingham. Ans ex Town loanee Kevin Dearden is goalkeeping coach there.

Bonkers to me that Borehamwood to Scunthorpe is a step down.

Just seen a map of the NL North on Twitter, and apart from the fact that teams as far south as Brackley & Bishop Stortford are in it, there are 7 previous football league teams in it
