If you do not want to read about the pre-season tour to Austria then please have some self restraint and do not click on this thread in future - you know the one that starts 'STFC in Austria...'.

I am really not intersted in your domestic situation, if I were I would go to mydomestichell dot com or something similar.

As for the abuse you have dircted at me, I can only assume you were in a bad mood (maybe you'd just had an arguement?). I would consider my response to you if you offered an apology.

To be fair this is the Town End Forum and all of us know that anything that is written is fair game for any and all sorts of come backs, hopefully you'll get to know how things work round here - you did come on here and offer an air of 'I'm better than you lot, take a leaf out of my STFC following handbook' - people will respond to that I'm afraid.

I will be interested when it happens, I just can't go. Really the thread is about going to the tour rather than having an interest in it.

Hey Kinky - thanks for the advice (genuinely). If that's the way it appeared then it was not meant to. I just could not believe that I was being slagged off for following the Town 'my way' and people saying they are not interested in the tour. The thread was an appeal to anyone else who might want to come and I am offering some knowledge of how to do it through my experiences last year.

If some people choose to go to the away game in Brighton but not the one in Huddersfield - that's their business; I would not say 'you are supporting the club in the wrong way'.

Hey ARCHIE - Brum were in Salzburg the same time as Town last year.

I generally don't take a dislike to Town fans but you really do come across as a smug condescending prick. After reading my comments again I was probably a bit too fair on you.
I know a couple of lads who went last year and they had a great time. What they have not done is bang on an on and on about it. They're not on a recruitment campaign but will probably be there again this year.
I'm surprised how lightly you've got off.

Friendlies are uber-dull. I think I'd find myself going to Austria and not going to the matches.

Come on Summer of Noughtie Nine, I've had my fun with you. If you can think of a fellow Town fan as fat as you around your age also from Park South then you can work out who I am. Have you seen the Aaard Vark lately?

My experiences of this forum have persuaded me to cancel my trip to Austria, and I have also cancelled my helicopter flight to Silverstone for the F1 GP tomorrow. I will use the money together with the proceeds of selling my house and all its contents to keep Simon Cox at the CG.

I'm not going because:

1) I don't like Austria
2) I don't really dig on pre-season all that much

If it was in Spain, or Portugal, or anywhere nice and hot where the nation is known for some decent sides, then I would probably go.

Nick Watkins if you are reading this then please consider this feedback.

After all it is coming from one of your 3-year-season-ticket holders Smiley

All these people who are slagging of the host country - it's Austria we're talking about - now if it was Australia, I would agree with you.

Hey Michael - I take it you went to Ibiza in 2006 to see STFC lift European silverware - that was HOT! And as for playing decent sides, um last year we played Fenerbahce and Steaua Bucharest! Not all the oppostion comes from Austria, in fact the country is one huge pre-season fest. There are several games to see every night. Real Madrid regularly stay nearby, and the Austrian League kicks off at the same time of year so there are matches to watch there. Plus Munich is only a hour or up the road - I think they might have professional football club or two?

Yeah, I feel really special coz I've won a hundred quid off my mate for getting over 1,000 views and over 100 replies in (well) under a week!

Now I'm off to the Kassam to spend it all on crisps and pop in the social club.

They haven't got a social club at the Kassam.

How long have you had the OCD concerning obscure STFC pre season fixtures in out of the way places....for example did you go on the Hoddle/Gorman tour to Finland.

Lakes eh seen one and you've seen them all.
