We moved a bag of garden rubbish the other week and out fell a hedgehog with 5 babies, only about a week old, as we had disturbed the nest (and there are quite a few cats in our area) we phoned the vet's who put us on to an animal sanctury who told us what to do - ensure the mother does not clear off was a good start so we had to retreive the mother who had gone walkies to next door's garden put them all in a box together and seal it and we then took it to the animal sanctury to look after them.

Apparently once disturbed hedgehog's can abandon the babies or they eat them.

Hahaha, tried feeding it some mince, ace!

I got home from work yesterday, found a load of feathers all over the house, loads of stuff knocked over, etc.
I went into the garden and saw a dead blackbird on the lawn, but fuck knows what happened inside, I can only guess that one of our cats managed to get it in through the catflap somehow, chase it around the fucking house then drag it back out of the catflap and leave it on the lawn?!
