I wonder if there will be an announcement this week? I have said before that I would like there to be one signing a week until the new season: I include coaching staff in that. But what excites me right now is that tomorrow I will learn the Carling Cup Round 1 (South) draw, then on Wednesday I will learn the season's fixtures. Anything else this week will be a bonus  |

I have booked myself into a meeting from 10am - 12pm on Wednesday to ensure I fully absorb the fixtures announcement.

As an aside, when does pre-season training start?
I saw Ifil in the gym earlier. I think his workout was even easier than mine, and that is really saying something.

Meanwhile, the Advertiser understands Town will complete the capture of new assistant manager Peter Shirtliff next week.
The former Sheffield Wednesday defender, who played alongside Swindon boss Wilson at Hillsborough, left his post with Tranmere earlier this month.
Rovers announced he was on his way to the County Ground, but Town have so far refused to comment on the speculation.
However, it is believed Shirtliff will be in place as Wilson’s number two inside the next seven days. |
