Celtic have asked Swansea for permission to talk to their manager Roberto Martinez.

Looks as if some Swans fans are already worried.

Why dont they get Aidan McGeady to manage them? The fans think he is more important than the manager?

The loon is linking himself with them:

"Celtic is an unbelievable club, you have a 50% chance* of winning something up there."

* that chance is reduced to 10% if you appoint Tony Adams as manager.

Hahahaha, I know 3 Celtic fans and they've all said they'd be suicidal if they got Adams.

The standards are dropping fast.

Strachan
Mowbray
Coyle
Martinez
Adams

Who next, Andy King?

Just face facts, and appoint McGeady.

Tell you what though, if Setanta folds then they will be lucky to get Tony Adams.

Sky have always said they will not deal with the SPL again. Leaving the BBC the only show in town?

He's now wanted by Wigan to replace Bruce

He's only been a manager for a short period and he seems to be very hot property, surely he is a risk ?

Gordon Brown's Scottish and he'll be looking for a job next week. Plus he's John Reid's mate - a shoe-in!

Its not just the SPL though is it, Setanta have a chunk of the Premier League TV rights as well which Sky can't take on (due to the EU ruling). I reckon someone will buy Setanta if they do fold, maybe Virgin or ESPN or Eurosport.

Talk is of Setanta going to a wholsesale mode, i.e. they sell the rights of individual events off to whoever pays the most.

They already held talks with Sky to explore putting them into the Sky Sport package, but talks broke down.

Whatever, I suppose it means those reliant on the funds (SPL, whatever other sports) are going to get less money and end up in a bigger pickle than the FL did when ITV Digital went belly up.

There is talk of ESPN picking up Setana when they go into Admin, that will then give them a foot hold for premier rights.

Let's hoep though that Setana goes under and ITV / BBC pick up the away coverage of england games so we can see them of terestial tv.
