Michael Rose - Stockport full back mentioned on the adver site this morning. Wages could be a stumbling block.

Was thought of quite highly at Man Utd when he started his career, they loved him at Yeovil and rated him very highly and were upset to lose him to Stockport.

Got 1 England amateur International cap while at Hereford.

Is also a dead ball specialist, scores a few from free kicks and scored against Rovers direct from a corner too.

From the station at Colchester
To the cells of Warrington
From the services at Leicester
To the slums of Northampton

We travel over England
And one day Europe too

Cos we all follow the Swindon

Is that in the same way that Andy Gurney was a dead ball specialist?

Judging by the noises coming out of the CG, it looks like we'll sign 4 new players, maybe this fella, a GK, a striker to replace Cox...perhaps Robinson, and a centrocampista. What we've got signed up already will then be it. Optimism anyone?

Decent goalkeeper

Aljofree
Greer
Morrison

McNamee
Easton
Decent new midfielder
Timlin
McGovern

Paynter
Decent new striker

With Rose to fit into there somewhere, it doesn't look all that bad a line up. Not saying it's one that would win the league but anybody who's expecting that kind of turn around over 1 summer is off their head. It'd potentially be a solid team up and around the mid-table to play-offs area

Refusing to match the wages of players from a club that are now fucked because they spent far too much, seems like good news to me

Well if they are skint they probably haven't been offering big wages then have they? Unless they became skint over night because of the massive wages they were paying thier full back...
